FOUNDERS:
On one September evening in the year 2006, seven Civil Engineers from Davao City, who came from different sectors in the civil engineering profession gathered together. They came from among the academe, the private consulting businesses, and the construction firms. These civil engineers framed a Vision and Mission that will directly and significantly contribute to the progress and development of the city of Davao, the neighboring cities and municipalities, provinces and the ultimately the country. With the vision and mission established , the organization was born. It was named the STRUCTURAL ENGINEERS ASSOCIATION OF DAVAO (SEAD), INC.
MISSION​
SEAD is an organization of professional registered Civil Engineers that will be:
1. Advancing in knowledge and competence in the fields of Civil Engineering: Primarily, Structural, then Geotechnical, Construction Management, Water Resources, and Transportation,
2. Sharing and propagating the knowledge to as many Filipino civil engineers but not excluding other nationalities, regardless of religious beliefs, organizational or political persuasions,
3. Advocate the ethical and professional practices in engineering, especially those that affect the welfare of the public,
4. Lending expertise and competence to institutions, such as the local policy makers, the local executive body, and the academe, among others,
In doing so, we will be significantly contributing to the sure progress and development of our cities, and provinces, in particular, and eventually the nation in general.
VISION​
We envision Civil Engineers advancing in knowledge, competence and character; locally as well as globally recognized and respected; and significant contributors to the progress and development to the city of Davao, Mindanao, and the Philippines.
